    Also I reading a post the other day talking about grinds. Is this what you would call a wedge?

    Yes that is a wedge. Instead of the blade going from very thin and then up to an upward arch to the spine, the wedge is more like a triangle I guess you could say.

    There is a slight hollow on that blade -- you can see it on the end shots, and can see it indirectly because of the distinctly polished bevel and spine -- the hone didn't touch the middle of the blade.

    I'd still call it a wedge, though.
