Thanked: 3247/8 W&B looking for a new home
Here's a really sweet Wade and Butcher 7/8 quarter-hollow ground with top grade giraffe bone, brass pin work and wedge. The blade is mirror-polished, clean and very crisp. In the first picture, you can see the detail of the folded blue terricloth back towel that was over the chair behind me.
e-mail me if you're interested. ( [email protected]) I'll be listing it on Ebay tomorrow if no one makes a suitable offer, so you might get a 2nd chance.

Truely a work of art! I really like the location of your pins in relationship to the scales. So many times even new razors the pin location is distracting. The cutback angle on the but end is a classy touch as well. I wish I could afford this one, but I am having fun window shopping!

I won't insult you by making an offer I could afford, besides I'm happy with my razors. Somebody should grab this beauty though. The giraffe bone is easily the best looking bone I have ever seen.

I don't know if my eyes are working correctly That's one FIIIINE razor... If I think about it some more, I may skip a student loan payment!

Thanked: 2Sorry to drag this up, though it's a beauty, so I'm sure no one really minds.
Is giraffe bone usually colored like this? I've seen bones and they look white. The only material I've seen like this is heavily mineralized mammoth ivory. Thanks for any info.

Thanked: 324Giraffe bone has many possibilities. It's hard. It's dense. It's tough. It can be dyed a number of different ways to achieve a number of different effects like this mineralized version. Different techniques, dyes and colors, of course, net different results.

Beautiful razor!
Sorry, such beauties are wasted on me. My razors live hidden lives in bathroom cabinets and have to earn their keep.
Nice workmanship!
