    Default Warning Part II

Well it is coming along but I still want to get some of the micro pits out. I am going to go back down to 320 wet sandpaper before I go back up with the micro mesh. Thought ya'll might like an update though...

Wow, coming along very nicely... I can't believe how you got the chip out. Might have shrunk a bit, but it looks like it's gonna be a keeper....

    Keep the pics coming....

They obligingly make straight razor blades with a hole, through which a loop of stout string, just big enough to get three or four fingers through, can be fixed. With that, it is hard fot the blade to contact some other part of your anatomy, or anything that will damage it.

I"m working on the wood as we speak. I have to wait for some larger micro nut fasteners to come in as I want to final sand like a closed clam shell to keep everything even.

Brad (Undream) has a great method of keeping the pieces together during whole process. He uses some double sided tape which he used to stick the two rough cut scales together. The tape stays between the two scales until you have all but finished your sanding. You then pry them apart, remove the excess tape residue (I use some Gaffer tape to remove this). I have used this method and it works really well and it avoids having to work around fasteners during the sand.

    Just a thought.
