    Default Has this had it?

    Hi Gents, I bought some razors off eBay to have a go at doing some refurb I have the Abram brooksbank defiant I've put a sheet of paper as a straight edge do you guys think this blade has had it's days I don't want to waste time polishing junk ( if your wondering the top razor is a Taylor eye witness that has a broken scale)

    Kind of hard to tell from the pictures. But I think the top one will hone up fine. I cannot really see the edge of the bottom razor. Is that pitting?

    Sorry my image is rubbish ill try to get better ones, it not pitting its tarnished i think i can sort that its the shape of edge im not sure about its not straight it touches the paper in the center then rises up at the heel a toe.

    That is just a smiling edge. That is not a problem, but there may be a bit of a frown within the heel end of the smile and the shoulder stabilizer is in the way so you will need to grind/hone away some of that in order to make proper contact between the hone and the heel's edge.
