Thanked: 7Dovo with a crack
I was so excited, picked up a gorgeous Dovo with fake mother of pearl handles...it was black with tarnish and i missed the massive crack in the blade. It hooks up and runs to the front of the blade almost halfway up the blade.
I don't have to tools to grind down the blade to remove the crack, i have two options grind the blade down or remove the pins and put in another blade....but i lack the skill to do either...
Is there anyone out there willing to take on a project for me?

Yes, pics. They would help to analyze what must be done.

Thanked: 2591sorry to see you found a razor with a problem like that.
It could eb shortened but I think it is not worth the expense to send it out for that.
Here nice write up Glen did on what to look for when you are buying vintage razors:

basically you want to have a blade as clean as possible from pitting and rust, and definitely edge in good condition, no pitting /rust close or on it, no tarnish, no discoloration, no cracks, no big chips etc.Stefan
