    Default Black/Green G10 with a Bone wedge.

It is a W&B Faux Frameback 5/8. I had to leave some of the pitting due to the depth but I kind of like it that way. Initially I wasn't even going to try and save it but then changed my mind thinking WTF? Worth a shot. Hard to show the color pattern of the G10 with out a light box but I really liked how it seems organic in it's pattern. Here is a before and after for ya with my humble restore knowing many more out there do much better work then I.

U did a great Job ! I like the overall design of the scales, and know that working with G10 is no easy job. The blade looks fantastic as well, great job bringing it back to life.

Thanks. It seemed a shame to not try to save the old girl. Any W&B deserves new life. The small pitting gives it some character and I am looking forward to getting it on the hones to see how she does! I wish I could have saved the stamping but the ones on the blade were shallow and the rust deep. I managed to save some on the tang. The scales I just drew out free hand then cut and sanded away......

Thanks Nay... I wasn't going to be able to get her to look "new" but she now has new life and her own personality. I know she wasn't treated badly during the restoration so once honed should shave great. I'm going to try and get her honed tonight. Yours didn't come in yet but maybe thurs.

Looks good, nice job on the resurrection of the blade that must have been some serious sanding time.

Thanks Dunc. Actually I should have started out by using Mother's polish first to see what was there b4 taking it to 80 grit... I didn't even know it was stamped on the blade. It really didn't take that long at all. Couple hours with the buffer. SWMBO actually watched the entire thing cause she is starting to get curious about what i do to restore blades. She looks at em before and then after is telling me there is no way that is the smae blade. LOL I think she thought I was trying to hide new purchases!!!

Very nice I like to see old razors that look like they are really past it brought back to life.

You did a great job on that. I also like to see razors with a few battle scars if they have had a hard life somebody restores them.

Amazing job you did on the blade, i can just see a hint of the colour in the scales in a couple of the pictures, I imagine they look great in the flesh.

She was in pretty bad shape, you got her looking fantastic now though. I'm sure once you shave with it you'll be very glad you went to the effort.
