Old Torrey, Goes Back on The Line.
This past week I picked up this old Torrey razor in an antique mall in Georgia. I paid $7.95 for her. It appears that her last owner used a wire bent in place to keep her together.
Times were probably hard for him and he needed her to shave with.
I sanded the blade and scales by hand. (I have not learned to use the buffer & compound that I bought yet.)
Replaced the wire with nickel bar & washer.
Set a new bevel with Norton 1000, then 4000/8000, then Shapton 16000, canvas strop, leather strop.
She gave me a good shave tonight, with the accessories in the photo.
Someday I will learn to use the buffer and compound for a better result.
Thanks for looking.

I don't know why some of the photos "double posted", sorry for that. I can't seem to correct it through the "edit" button.
