    Exclamation Tumbler Troubles

Started on my first two blades, by putting them in walnut media mixed with Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound(Frankford Arsenal Brass Cleaning Media Treated Walnut Hull 7 lb Bag - MidwayUSA), The problem I have encountered is the tumbler is blackening the blades. Instead of cleaning it is making them dirty. This residue does come off with some maas and a lot of rubbing but still does not seem as shiny as before putting them in. Any idea what is causing this or a way to prevent this? - sorry about no pictures my camera is not working.

    Two things come to mind,,,

1.) The Turtle Wax wasn't "Loaded" and was a bit damp so it attached itself to the razor, that should clear up by itself after 48 hours...

    2. The Cleaner that Franklin uses didn't chemically like the Turtle Wax, there is no way of knowing this until you try it, again this should clear up once the TW loads/dries about 48 hours...

Solution as I see it let the tumbler run for 48 hours open, so the the TW loads then retry...
Please let us know what happens

Thanks, I will go ahead and remove the razors and clean them. Then retry, does the media needs to be completely dry before attempting to add the razor, or because the turtle wax is a liquid compound just evenly mixed? I am at the point where the media is damp and evenly mixed.

It needs to be dry or it will attach to the razors...

your problem is that you use treated media which reacts with the rubbing compound, use untreated one and you will be fine.
You can get it from e-bay from example at very good price.
