Flap Wheels -- Review
I finally got around to trying out the sanding flap-wheels from widgetsupply.com. I got all 3 grits and got going on the Tonsorial. Progressing from 120 to 240 to 400 grit, they quickly removed all of the surface rust, pitting and gave the razor a lovely satin finish. As you gentlemen know (from the scales on my Satinedge and my Zippo) I'm a big fan of satin
I also took it to the hones (probably not as good as I'd like it to be but I'll give it a shave test tomorrow anyways) and as the cut on my upper lip finally healed, I can't wait for tomorrow's shave.
P.S. I think I finally broke the coticule-code with my other razors

Thanked: 0I really want to try those flap wheels. Could anyone ship a set to Norway for me? I'll pay all costs through paypal of course. Oh, and while I'm in "begging mode", I'm interested in one of those tiny microscope thingies, but nobody ships that to Norway. Ack, how I wish I lived in the states where it's easy to get stuff.

Actually they MAY ship to Norway (they do some Euro countries) and their international shipping rates are fairly reasonable. Maybe you could get'em direct. If not, Randy's always there as an option. Simplify

An update on the Tonsorial. It gave me a bit of a pull, but the shave is fairly clean. Ofcourse, I'll take it back to the hones for a few more light passes and try again tomorrow.

There was just way too much pulling on the with the grain pass. It's too much in comparison to my other working 5/8 spike point singers or any of my other blades for that matter. Therefore I'll give it some light work on the hone and try again tomorrow. As it still gave me a relatively clean shave, it should not take much more work and the hones are still under water.

Thanked: 0They didn't ship to Norway. I already tried. When I contacted them about it, I was only told that "We don't ship to Norway."
