    I naturally hone into a smile because I prefer it, but it takes some time. I'm sure some grind before-hand.

    I got four or so restores that all have chipping at the heel, so they will at least turn into a grinning bunch. But normally I just hone as they are (unless they're frowning, but haven't had one of those YET). I did notice that a smile and spike point at the toe are very suitable for shaving in between facial hair and for precision touch ups.
