    Default Recon Stone

From Masecraft. What is it? How is it worked? Any particular things I need to look out for? I'd like to use it for the wedge in a W&B resto in horn that I'm working on. Thanks guys.

I really dig Recon Stone. I like it for wedges and inlay work. It works very easily, sands and buffs out to a fantastic finish.

"What is it?" It is approx 80 to 90 % natural stone mixed with an acrylic gem resin.
It does have some flex when used in thin pieces and it can also be a little brittle depending on the amount of stone to resin % but again its great for wedges and comes in many colors.

I have also made a good number of knife scales with it and it looks awesome but remember knives are backed. If I were to make str8 scales they'd need to be backed and done in sections they way pearl is done.

Here in this thread you can see were I used it for inlay and wedge. The first is coral and the second you can see a purple Lapis wedge as examples.

That I could not answer, I've never tried it however I have heated it up a little in my kiln to bend it into shapes.
