Thread: Carbon fiber supplier

Anyone know of a good supplier for carbon fiber in 1/8" that doesn't charge an arm and a leg?

Alpha's inventory is always updated, often they'll have sections around 11.5"x1" for around $20

Although, I would prefer to spend the money on a bigger sheet. That way you can cut your sections perpendicular to each other so the pattern runs the same way on each side. If you cut a foot long piece in half, or a 6"x2" down the center, the pattern wont be matched on both sides,

Ends up like f//////r r//////f where f is front of scales, and r is rear of scales. Unless shiny side outboard one side, and inboard on the other.

Maybe below image demos better. The white outlines you'll see pattern mismatched, but do one like the red and the pattern direction matches.
