Caution: Restoration may lead to heartbreak!
While hand sanding this beautiful Boker 1056 with scalloped spine, I apparently got a little over zealous with the pressure and sand paper.
Ahhhh the frustration and aggravation! No more Spanish tip for this old girl.Last night, I shot an elephant in my pajamas..........

Thanked: 170My 1056 was broken similar to yours and the tip was redone before I got it.. A great shaver, with perfect scales, but no more barber's notch.

On the plus side, I now get to ponder different blade designs that will allow me to keep this beautiful specimen in service.
