I bought this junker Str8 on e-bay for practically nothing and the photo will show you why!!
I have been repining Str8's and put on a couple of scales and even some honing, for my self, not for hire. But this is the 1st razor that I took apart completely cleaned up the blade[best as could be done] and put back to gether as a whole project.
The scales were, I beleiv heat warped and when put up to each other after unpinning the pivot holes were totally mis-alighned. As you can see from the 1st photo, the blade was to have better been thrown away, but I though, if I buggered up the project I woudln't be ruining a nice colectors peice.

The above image is what I had to work with, I know your thinking, what's to be done with that, well, bellow are some pic's of the work in progress and the final outcome, aside from the warped plastic scales, when I got to final polishing stage there were defects that kept comming up in the finish and I would have to go back a couple of grits and start over, the final polish is NOT what I had hoped for but it you let me off the hook for this being my 1st complete re-do, then with charity towards me I would say I did a "Servicable" Job, let your eyes be the judge.
The one thing I have going for me is very medeocre Photography skills, so a lot of defects are largely hidden.

The one photo is my work table work in progress, the rest are the finished[?] razor, and the little bull is my work buddy Sebastian, affectionate but inert.
I will in the near future do the honing and will let you all know how that comes out ,

Thank you for reading this Thread, have a great week,
