    I believe that G10 -- fiberglass-reinforced epoxy -- is the same stuff used for "epoxy printed circuit boards". _Those_ should be available at an electronics parts supply house, and there must be some "down under".

    The boards may be a bit thin, but the FRP is really tough. You can sand off the copper foil, or etch it away with ferric chloride (also available at the electronics parts shops).

    I haven't tried this myself, but it's on the "to-do" list.

    Yes we certainly get left behind this side of the globe at times; thankfully we have the internet to open us up to the wide world of shopping and information otherwise we would really be in the dark ages.
