Question Shumate "Model Numbers" - Reground??

Does anybody about the "model number"s on Shumate razors?

I have two marked "0175". One has conventional stabilizers. The second is shoulderless. The point is different too. I would expect "0175s" to be the same.

Could the shoulderless one have been reground? Or is "0175" more of a date code or maybe indicate the craftsman that built the blade?

That was probably the number stamped into the blanks during the forging process, before they were ground into the various styles. As Glen said a batch number, but I would think that it was more of a stamping batch than a steel batch(heat number).
