    Default Crack in the scales

I picked up this Wonderedge at an antique store the other day. For $15 I couldn't really argue with the crack in the scales. It doesn't really budge or shift when I open the razor, though I don't want to push it. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to hold it in place? a little glue or something? Thank you in advance for your answers.

without unpinning the hinge, you could try putting epoxy directly on the crack and then carefully sand it down so it's not as noticeable. I have a feeling the only reason it's not popping off when you open and close the razor is because of the built up grime.

If you want to unpin the razor to clean it all really good, then you could take the broke piece off the top, clean up the cracked portion, and run epoxy throughout the entire crack, then redrill the pivot hole through the epoxy and sand down to smooth. IMHO I would unpin it.

Wonderedge scales are Catalin, they "Normally" respond well to Acetone Welding
You can take that apart and try that direction, or you can clean it with an old toothbrush and Comet then drizzle a drop of Acetone along the crack using a thin piece of wire...
To much and the scale will dissolve away rinse with clear water after...
There is no way of knowing if this will work or not until you try it, as the recipes for the old scales changed over the years, some it works great on some it doesn't work at all...
Personally I have never had a repair on a Celluloid scale (of any type) with any glue hold tight at the pivot without looking like a "Gob of Glue" on there, I don't consider a huge glue ball as a repair I think that is just Butt Ugly (sorry JMHO).. Good Luck

Thank you for the advice. No worries, I honestly had no clue what to do with it.
