Pitting and honing
I bought this Torrey at the flea market but the pitting on it was too bad for a membership in my rotation. Here is the situation:
There is lots of pitting toward the spine and it's fairly deep. It's not too bad on the spine itself. There is some shallow pitting towards the edge, closer to the toe.
Can this razor be honed to be shave ready?
The reason I am asking is because I want to send it over to a member for him to work on his honing, however I don't want to send him a blade that he will not be able to shave with as that's extremely disheartening when you put quite a bit of time on the hones.

Thanked: 2209If there is no pitting along the edge then it can be made into a shaver.

Thanks Randy. I'll give it a closer inspection just to make sure and then a few swipes on the 4k for good luck. In any case I have to finish honing the Genco.
