Here you go: http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...tml#post595124 I didn't have any acetone, so I used dawn dish soap, which is an awesome degreaser. I also didn't have a spray bottle, so I just dipped the blade into and out of the solution. It worked, but I think it didn't develop the rust fast enough to develop the very deep level of black I was looking for. Next time, I'm going to buy a spray bottle and some acetone.

    'Cause it ain't sharp.......

But seriously.....Brian/Paco tried to hone it, but it was a PAIN to get sharp. I might send it to the guy who honed my daily shaver and see how it does on a vintage BBW/Coti.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I was happy how the brass ended up. I've been playing with the stupid thing all day.

It really is a neat looking piece. Love the rustic/piratey thing. That added feature is what one might refer to as serendipity. To bad you can not shave with it.

    Nice concept, and well executed!

Hmmmm, I have a pitted razor which would be interesting to reshape and do something similar.

Just got word from the guy over on B&B who honed my daily shaver. We'll see how a vintage bbw/coti does on the Angry Duck.

Jeltz, you should. I have another junk razor that I'm going to practice making a blacked non-folder. I've also got a restore I'm doing for a guy on here that I'm going to black like this.

I think I will, the pitted razor is a great shaver but it needs new scales. Giving it a proper patina would disguise the pitting and a cool handle would set it off very well.

Hmmm I'm already planning a box which will fit it like a glove
