Simple W&B
Finally had time to work on this over the weekend. After I finished it and shaved with it I decided to keep it.
Two things that didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted. I wanted a higher shine on the scales and might take them off once the new bench grinder gets here. (What do you all put on horn once its sanded and polished? Wax?) Also the wedge is not perfectly flush with the end of the scales. I decided to let it alone and not sand down the original scales.
Thanks
Bruce
(The one is hopefully obviously before.. The rest, after.)

A beautiful job and "Yes" she is a keeper.
I'm an amateur with restoration, but I would not bench buff those, just hand work it with MAAS and Renaissance Wax it, JMO.

Thank you. All I had lying around was some beeswax which at least will keep them protected. I would have liked to put the blade through a polishing, (this was the one that made me say never again will I try to polish with a dremel. never. ) but i'm content for now. The highest sandpaper I had around was 1500..
I'm hoping it won't be long before I get to her big brother ( an 8/8 W&B I picked up for a steal.)

Maybe it's wrong, but I soak in neetsfoot oil, wet polish/sand with N.O. up to 8000 or so am then top it off with kit carnuba wax. Like I said, maybe it's wrong, but it's what I do.
