right now i have a straight which is not rusted at all but it is grey and i would like to give it a shine! so which grits of paper should i use? also on a side note how are the pins taken out?
p.s. if any of you have had use with the king kutter hone like its grit, quality and ect that would help

Thanked: 2591when restoring a blade you need to use a progression of sand paper going as high as you can in the grits.
the level you start at depends on the condition of the blade.

A picture might help, but you could also try cutting compound.
