Thanked: 13245Can this be fixed to shave again????
I love those PM's and E-mails, I open them with a bit of trepidation every time, not really knowing what I am going to see...
This was the original pic
Then I asked for some drawings with the razor to get an idea of what was wanted, and I got this, and the statement "Try not to shorten the blade" hmmmmm
So I think I pulled if off pretty well, flattened the round nose a bit then rocked it on the grinder to even it up and finally met the cracked part of the edge up with the new grind using a DMT 325 and slow hand work..
Edge length before I started 2.499 edge length after I finished 2.497
This little Helje just needs to be honed up again now...Last edited by gssixgun; 11-09-2011 at 01:21 AM.

I've been hearing of a few blade injuries lately & recommended you for the surgery. 'Would just make me dirge for days, having that happen to such a lovely blade. 'Looks like an ivory scaled MK 31 I sold to a member.
If it were my blade, I'd be awful dang glad you do such nice work.

I don't think he would be able to tell the difference with such a minor bit taken off. Looks like a new factory blade.
