    Default Restoration Supplies

I have been picking up bits and pieces of where everyone is buying their restoration supplies. Bill has some in his restoration disk, etc. Wouldn't it be a good thing to have a comprehensive list of vendors ? Catigorize it into wood, pin material, liner material, etc.?

    Gregg,
I think that it would be a great idea. Somtimes this stuff is hard to find.
if anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

    Gregg,
Once you get you list made up I can show/tell you how to upload it into say the "help files" like I do the Ebay Names this way someone won't have to search thru the thread to find it. If you will put it on a Word Document it will upload real easy.

I nominate the following 2 sources:
www.widgetsupply.com <-- for Dremel goodies including the abrasive flap wheels
    and
www.microfasteners.com <-- for brass washers that go with brass rod stock and stainless washers to go with the nickel rod stock.

Is there a chance that this thread can be updated and expanded? Since getting into straights I have been toying around with repairing and restoring. I have some "junk" razors that I have to practice on. I am looking for a list of tools and venders to get started.

I have read the wiki and picked up some info from there but those of you who restore could you provide a list of basic tools to start?

Is it safe to assume that I should start with removing and replacing scales before moving on to blade work?
