Has anyone tried thas?
I was rehabbing an old Winchester razor to give to a friend when I had an idea for a collar and was wondering if anyone had tried it or if anyone had any ideas that might help. My idea is to use the primer end of a spent or new unused shell casing as a collar. I was thinking 45 well just because its so iconic as are razors, but haven't done any measuring or anything. Any thoughts would be helpful.
Thanks
James

That sounds pretty cool! Seems that I remember either a razor or a knife that used cases as pins, but I don't remember details or where I saw it at.

I remember a member talking about doing that very thing. I'm not sure what the outcome was. My only suggestion would be that since it is a Winchester, that you use period correct rifle caliber cases with the Winchester headstamp.

The Winchester I am giving to my buddy was just the inspiration I was thinking for on down the road. Right now I don't have the tools much less the skill to try that yet. Depending on the razor I use will determine the ammo I use. If I ever get another Winchester it will have to be Winchester ammo. And I really want to find another Winchester razor, that had the best edge I have produced to date (out of 5 razors).
