I only have to put the gring marks back and Im half way through making scales will post them when Im finished

That's a hefty amount of Elbow Grease (R) Ivo & Co However everyone will agree that the results are worth it. I am assuming you did it wet. Did you go along the length or along the width of the blade?

Thanks Peter. I'll definitely try it with the W&B that is still waiting for me to make a nice set of scales worthy of it.
