    Default Epoxy finish

Just wondering if anyone's tried using an epoxy finish (as opposed to say CA). There are epoxies out there that cure to very nearly transparent, and polymerize to a hardness comparable to CA.

I did a little experiment using a little $2 tube of lepage epoxy. Mixed it and spread it out over my test surface. It cured to a nice hard clear polymer, the only difficulty I had was eliminating airbubbles.

Air bubbles are the problem with epoxy and can be minimised by keeping the temp up before mixing. Getting an epoxy that dries hard can be a trick but they still all feel like plastic when done.

    Just my two cents,
