    Very nice Bill. Did you sand the scales wet or dry? I've been having some serious issues with getting a uniform satin finish to the point of giving up and going for clear.

    If those scales are in fact glass, then there are certain solutions/compounds out there that act as glass etching agents.

    They're laser-cut plexies. Would those etching compounds work on plexiglass?

    shweeet...

    The material is plexiglass, hand finished to matte finish, with uniform parallel grit marks, time consuming. Plexi can be laser etched with desired pattern too...
