I'm sure I will. As soon as I get it shave ready, it'll go up on the site. Formerly, I'd put them up and hone them after someone ordered it, but that caused a problem and a delay if I got a bunch of orders, so all my new ones I put up will be shave ready, and ready to ship as soon as they're ordered. It'll delay some going up, but they'll be ready to go when they do.

First off: WOW!
The after pictures are amazing. I am suprised you even took a chance on that one!! Judging from the pictures, I'm not sure they ever found the body!
Looks like there was a fair amount of rust on that puppy! How deep did it go?
I love 1/4 hollow ground razors (great heft!). And a TI to boot!
Fantastic work! I want one!!

Don't do this to me Joe, I'm in enough trouble already. Now where's the favourites button to get to Joe's site.......

Well, I have good news and bad news, depending on your point of view. The pictures I posted in the "after" post aren't the final product. Although those pictures showed the blade cleaned up pretty well, they weren't clear enough to show that there was still a very tiny bit of residual pitting around the toe, near the spine. Well, it's all gone now. It was a bit of bear to hone, but I finally got it there, and it's a pretty magnificent shaver. I reckon this is the first one of my restorations I think I'm totally happy with. It's hard for me to not see all the faults in my work, and I see some in this one, but I guess it's about as good as it's going to get.

Congratulations Joe!
Excellent job, I know you've got to feel pretty good about the final product. Now for the really tough decision, do you sell your baby or keep it for yourself?
Cheers,
Ed

Hell, I can't afford to keep 'em. It'll be up on my site in a couple days, I think. I've got a tentative offer on it right now, but if his vet bill turns out to be too steep and he can't get it, I'll likely put it in the store. I'll announce it here when I do. I've got a Wostenholm and a Joseph Smith 7/8 wedge going up, too, that cleaned up pretty nice, too. I kept the original scales on those, though. Just have to shave test them first, and find out how close they are to being ready to go. Oh, and the site picture will be better, as well.

Hmmmm Joe I think he's suppose to be selling razors for those vet bills not buying them.
