    Default Pit too deep?

Is there any danger of a single deep pit way up near the spine?

It shouldnt be an issue. My question is though, what is the dark spot on the edge straight down from the pit?

Just a spot of tarnish/patina. Doesn't look as bad in person.

Doesn't look like a real issue to me, a cosmetic problem only.

only a potential problem if you try to sand the rest of the blade down past it!

Yip as above - the only danger lies in overzealous sanding!
