Metal Screw Lathe: object designed to spin material fast enough so you can ruin it quicker and eat tool stock! Can also be used to fire 3 and 4 jaw chucks across the room at the rate of a 30 pound cannon ball, great at a cigar parties in the shop!

Closely related to the "straight angle", the "long weight/long stand" "skyhook" and "stripey paint". One over eager trainee always goes for it.

Crap, seems like I cannot enter the shop very often without a donation of blood here lately, maybe I need a voodoo woman to come cleanse the place...

Sandpaper: Sheet of paper coated in abrasive material, commonly used to mar the perfect finish of one's workpiece. Also a lead contributor to carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and loss of time. May be found in dry or wet/dry configurations.
