I think I made a booboo
I little while ago I was looking for someone to make some custom scales for a 7-day set I acquired. I received the name of a gentleman who was supposed to do good work. All was going well, the last we spoke he stated he was almost finished; just had the final shaping and polishing to do. That was in November. Since then, he has ignored all my emails, txts, and phone calls. I had given him $250 as a deposit and one of the blades from my set. Now it seems my set is ruined since it's no longer complete. Anyone have any advice?
TIA

how did you pay? paypal or did you send him cash in some form or another.
BTW if it's a member of this forum and you've been trying to contact him thru the PM system on here and he's been ignoring it, perhaps you should either contact the people who recommended him to make sure he is in fact in good health (I try to give people benefit of the doubt first) then if you get no satisfaction, you should probably name them. the community has a right to know who they shouldn't do business with. But only after you've done everything you can to ensure everything is kosher on his end.

I am sorry to hear about this, maybe life threw him a couple curveballs and he hasn't had time for the computer, has he logged in here recently? (I think an email from him is not too much to ask, even if he is swamped).

I made my payment via PayPal, but I think it's been too long ago for them to do anything about it. I believe he was a member here (couldn't say for sure), but I'm not sure if he still is. I've been in contact with the person whom I got his information and he's been ignoring them as well. I was being real good not to bother him over the holidays because I knew how crazy mine was, that's why I waited till Feb to try and get back in touch with him.

surely if you haven't received the goods you paid for paypal can still get your money back, doesn't the 28 days cool off or whatever only start once you have received the service or item?
I would go check on their profiles and see when they last logged in. Were they longtime/high postcount members?

$250 for a set of scales, or was that for 7 sets? What were they to be made from? I would have been nervous giving that large of a deposit, but then I'm a cheap SOB.

Hopefully this get resolved. The worse thing is you have a blade missing-was this part of a true 7 days set or a set of different razors?

Thanked: 13245Gentlemen as you can see I removed the parts of this thread that crossed over into the Vendor Bashing area of our policy...
The best approach in this instance would be instead of posting a thread like this since they do no good, is to pm a Mod... we can at least point you in the right direction
Now as I already got to read the outcome of the thread and realize that the OP has access to phone numbers that we don't, that would now be a waste of time too..
File a PP compliant and get yer money back
Posting a thread like this does no good whatsoever.
Any questions PM me
