I am wondering whether or not to remove the pitting from the toe here. I quite like it but my family think it is ugly
    What do you guys think?

    Thanks

I think you need to stop and fix the edge and set a bevel before you waste a ton of time on a razor that might not have solid steel

Set the bevel then check that bevel under a loupe to see if the steel is swiss cheese, if is is full off holes, then cut farther into the steel until you find good steel or decide the razor is shot..

    Hey gssixgun

I have honed and set a bevel ... it does look bad atm, but I did drop it onto a concrete floor whilst I was working on it. The bevel was good, cut arm hair at least and looked good at 50X mag. I am going to hone it again now and see how she comes out the other side after I dropped her.
