    Here's some pics of the scales after finishing sanding and applying a first coat of tung oil. I'll put another coat on before I go to bed and do a little polishing tomorrow morning.

    Very Nice, it's going to look grand!! I use True Oil for guns, tung oil is basically the same with slightly defferent polimizers.

    The scales turned out really nice. Unfortunately, while trying to get all the pins and washers in the right places, I dropped the whole razor and knocked a decent sized chip out of the toe of the razor. Luckily the damage is right at the toe, so it can be honed out, but she'll never be the looker that she was before..... damn shame, too..... easily the smoothest razor I have owned, thus far. I'll post pics of the finished scales and the toe carnage when I get home this afternoon.

    Well, here's the final results. I was extremely happy with the scales, so much so that I've started on another set for another razor. As you can see from the second pic, the toe damage from the drop isn't too bad. Just needs some work.
