    Default Bengall with Kauri

    Hi All,

This is the first razor with scales made from my recent small batch of Kauri. Not fiddleback but a bit older. 20,000yrs old in fact. Lovely wood to work with and has a pearlescent sheen.

The razor is a 6/8" Bengall single grind blade (nice and stiff) and the scales are 3 pinned, brass wedge and a brass 3rd pin spacer to match.

This was custom made according to an SRP members adddictive wishes who shall remain nameless just in case the guys with the big van and straight jackets (pun intended) call on him.

Gary, I feel sorry for your mailman. I believe he will be bludgenoned unconscious with a bottle of maple syrup and lose one package. I wonder who'd do that to the poor guy

Nice work. That Kauri wood makes for a different but attractive scale. The scale designs with the blade also complement each other, and it appears to be a well balanced razor (physically & in looks).

Beautiful work Gary. Very elegant combination.

I am biased because I love Kauri. It has a stunning metalic flake sheen that photos don't capture.

First off, Ilija, no hitting mailmen. Second, what about the poor guy who is waiting for that nice razor?

John, the razor was posted via Antipodean Yak Hearder. These guys are as hard as nails to any attempt to hijack will be met with the upmost resistance.

Poor little yak-herder... His yak milk will be spiked with some chloroform and when he wakes up, he'll hand-deliver a shiny new Zeepk to the recipient without even knowing it

Gary did you forget that Ilijia is from Serbia? Can we add an additional hearder from Yak Hearder Special Forces? I'll Paypal you.

Just because Serbs were famous for robbing Turkish caravans during the 500 years of Ottoman occupation doesn't mean that some of us still do it. Gary, just send a single herder and John, sleep peacefuly... Your new Zee.. uhmm I mean Bengall will arrive soon
