    Default Restoration buys!

I have just got hold of these two. The first is a FW Engels and the second is called HYGIENIC. The Engels had a square toe but the blade was also chipped at the toe so I rounded it off on the sander at work. Apart from that I have done nothing with it so far. The HYGIENIC was quite badly rusted but I have so far hand sanded to 1200 and it's looking quite good now, save for some spots of heavy pitting. I guess I can find some info on the Engels but I've never seen a HYGIENIC before. Do any of you know about this make? If so I'd like to hear what you know regarding it's age etc. I'm guessing it's quite old cos the scales were very grubby and cracked. I think they were bone. The smell that came off them when I was unpinning them with a cut off disc, indicated that they were something that was once alive but now dead!!!!!

    Any info/comments would be appreciated

    Pete

FWIW, I have several extra hollows I've VERY pleased with. But the best extra hollow shave I've ever had was from an Engels 'leader'. I expect you're gonna like that one.
