I checked that before posting. The tip was more the use of tape to protect the scales that I hadn't read anywhere, but I imagine it is somewhere on this site.
I wish I'd read a tip about never forcing bakelite as I've gone and broken the scales trying to fit a pin through them this afternoon. Oh well :-/

Thanked: 13249Re-drill the holes to 5/64 it allows for pin precussion expansion when peening too.. The old pins are slightly less the the 1/16 or .0625 we use today and a tiny bit of slop 1/64 or .0156 is good for fitting the razors..
