As always the shave test will tell you.
If you can sharpen, strop and shave with the razor
to your satisfaction life is good and the temper right.

Carbon steel can be too hard for a good razor.
Like the three bears... too hot, too cold, JUST RIGHT.
You may have moved it to perfection. A month
of shaving and the occasional touch up on your hone
and daily visits to the strop and face will tell you more.
