    Default Boker meat cleaver!

Hey guys, I was checking my grandparents house out today while they are in florida for the winter and this caught my eye! Upon closer inspection I find the boker enscription and you can only imagine my reaction...
I took it back to my shop and gave it a quick 400 grit scrub and buff.
Because of the deep pitting I think im going to blacken the blade to prevent further corrosion, any thoughts? Im also plan to stain the handle black and satin finish it.
Anyways I skyped my grandpa and he couldnt give me any info on it, except for he thinks its part of a set he has somewhere. Needless to say im going back to look for the set!
    Anyways here it is...

That's a great find. It seems as though this razor would be hard not to catch your eye. Good luck with the set.

That would be a cool 7-day set.

When you are in the bathroom, a Böker is useful there.
This Böker is also useful, but in the kitchen

So let's sum this up....... You went into your grandparents house and now you have a meat cleaver and you are waiting for them to come home?..... So you can have more meat cleavers? Did anyone actually "see" your grandparent leave?.... Are you on any medication, or have feelings of harming people at this moment?..... By the way, I am your friend.... It's you and me buddy... Just put down the cleaver........

Haha, They go to florida every winter for 6 months. Unfortunately their trip is being cut short because of health issues. So just giving their place a once over, setting the thermostat checking sump pumps, ect. I will just be glad when they are here safe, my kids, wife and I miss them a lot.
Can you believe they are 75 and use skype everyday?
My grandpa and I spent a lot of time in his workshop since I was very young. Its neat to go down there with him and look at all the old stuff hes got!
Last year I was down there with him and see this hammer... When I took interest in it he insisted I take it, apparently belonged to my great great grandfather... I spruced it up a bit and use it as a pinning hammer, works great!
