Default Simple tool for you resto guys

I used these back in my clock repair days,Found that they are very usefull in doing some Razor resto work.Sort of a takeoff on the popsicle stick, sandpaper program.
Called a dressing stick, the phenolic body is spring loaded and holds a mini belt that you index with your finger, comes in grits from 120 to 600. can be found at: STEWMAC.COM : Guitar Parts, Bass, Banjo, Mandolin, Hardware, Tools, Supplies, Free Information.
    Very enexpensive,well made.

There's a Micromesh version of this too.

I haven't picked one up yet, but based on how much the various micromesh products have made my life easier, I have to assume they are also the bee's knees.

I bought one after seeing this thread. Works good, but only has lower grit belts. I may make some with some wet/dry I have and see if it works.

Not sure wet or dry will work for you but have made some by splicing Cloth backed abraisive using poly Gorrilla glue, works pretty well.

I have the Micromesh version, and use it when model building. It's great. One of the big online hobby retailers like Tower Hobbies or Squadron should stock them. IIRC, I got mine directly from the Micromesh folks along with some of their 4-way (4 different grits on one stick) flexible files and a couple of specialty sanding kits.
