Speical Trip to Robert Williams
As some are aware, I visit Robert Williams at this house and watch him work. I've been going up for some time and usually never know who will be the proud owner of the razor he is making while I watch. Today, while watching him and wandering around his shop, I noticed a drawing laying on his work bench. Since I recognized the SRP members name on the razor so I asked Robert about it. He told me it was the razor he was currently working on and handed it to me. I thought it was really nice that I would get to see a friends razor being made and be able to post a few pictures of it in transition from a hunk of steel to a work of art.
The razor, when done will belong to Birnando.
Creating the Point
Working on the tail
Starting to polish the spine and tail

More Polish
Work on narrowing the tail removing grinding marks.

I watched Robert grind some of the the blade, do the heat treating and start the tempering. There is much more work to do, but the razor is awesome. I held it in my hand, it is really something to hold. Birnando, your going to love it, use it in good heath. I also hope you don't mind that I posted this for you.
After grinding.
I almost forgot the drawing.

Oh my!
I'm getting all exited now, that looks so dang awesome!!
Pardon the drawing, that is not my forté.
But it seems Robert has gotten just what I was trying to convey with it.
No wonder, a finer artist in this game is not easily found
Thanks for posting this mate, I appreciate it!
I need a wee dram to cool me down a bit...
