Wood scales work fine with either, I choose based on the inlay, for instance the DD Goldedge I am doing today on Bloodwood will be attached with CA because the Bolster and Script is all one piece and won't work well with the Expoxy frame..
But the last Puma I did had the small Puma shield and that worked quite well with the frame set up... I pretty much only do transfers on CA finish also now, have tried with other finishes but it just never looked as good to my eyes... Here is the bad news, you have to have the CA finish perfect before you do the transfer so you better be dang careful because you can lose the transfer and all the work you did on the scales all in the same 5 seconds

Hmm. Glen, thank you so much.

'Was looking at a Puma transfer onto ebony finished in tung oil. 'Sounds like that might not be the best approach. I appreciate your kind help.

I haven't tried this yet but I am thinking about using scotch tape on the front and then putting the CA on the inlay and using the tape to handle it with and position the inlay. Then using the tape to hold it flat until the glue sticks.

Will let everyone know when I try it.
