If in doubt always grind a fast bevel with a layer or two of tape on a low grit stone to test the steel, no sense in working the razor if the steel is Swiss Cheese

yeah those four pictures are post 1k bevel with 1 layer of tape. I just kept going and that chip was the last little bit that wasn't straightening out.
