    Default Beginners Hand Sanding Device

Last week as I was in Home Depot looking for a variety of items, mostly shave den stuff, I wandered past a bin of plumbing parts. Among them were 3/4" PVC tees. Seemed to be the about the right radius for razors and blade lenght. So for about .12 cents, I'd give it a shot. Added some double stick foam tape to give the surface a little flex. Used it today and it seemed to work fairly well. Big enough to hang on to without getting sore hands after a while and to add a little pressure when needed.

The one thing that you do need to look out for are extrusions from the molding process. It can make the sanding surface lumpy. I simply ground those off and was good to go.

This device will remove steel but not the tedium. You're still doing it by hand.
