    Default Pressed Leather Scales

I'll get some pictures up this evening, but I seem to have become the owner of a razor with pressed leather scales. I initially thought it to be horn when I saw the pictures, but near the edges, there is fraying like you would see in an old leather piece.

What would be the recommendation to care for them and prevent further deterioration?

You have to be a little careful here, if you "Over" condition then the leather will become too supple and lose the stiffness that it needs to be scales...

I had a set of them off a razor that I messed with a bit just to see, and the best results I got was from using plain old Black Kiwi boot polish
