    Default Anyone sell scales?

I have just cleaned up a Wade and Butcher meat chopper and the horn scales are a bit crappy. There is what looks to be like a bubble where layers within the horn have seperated at points. The blade is a beauty though and deserves a new set of scales.

I'm not after anything too fancy or expensive. Just a decent set of scales and the pins, or maybe I could send it out to someone to put the new scales on for me?

Can anyone recommend anyone for this?

Gary certainly makes some fine scales, so I'd have to recommend him as well. I'm also available to rescale razors, of course I'll need the blade so I can fit them. PM me if interested.

I've seen pics of Gary's scales and he came up with some great stuff. I've also seen Jason's scales, but IRL and his work is just superb. Go with the Tung Oil finish!

    Wow..recommendations...cool.

I've been known to knock up a set of scales or two. And I've got some very nice wood at the moment.

pm me if you want something I won't pm you.

    Cheers

    Gary

Will send Gary a PM although I have managed to clean the old scales up a bit with some olive oil and a cloth. They are almost see through now and clean but the blister is still there.

I am a bit strapped for cash at the moment too which is the other problem

    Thanks for the recommendations guys

Send the old scales to him as well. Who knows, he may be able to fix'em up or at least use them for other purposes.
