First and foremost, very nice work! That's a job to be very proud of!
As far as oils go, I guess any oil is better than no oil at all but with that said, I'm with Neil on the use of Ballistol, I've also used WD-40 but I like the Ballistol better. They both go on very nice but I think that the Ballistol rinses off easier and besides I like the smell!
I know that it's widely available in Europe and the states. The unit that I prefer came with a manual squeeze squirt-er but I don't use the squirt-er, I just remove the cap and apply some on an old piece of t-shirt, gently wipe it on spine to edge so that it's well covered this is done after I've made sure that the razor was cleaned, rinsed and completely dry! Amazon has a 16oz can for about $12 plus shipping.
Again, nice work!

Fantastic! Are you sure you made all this with the help of Autosol only?

Wondering what Autosol you used, paste or liquid or Dursol?
Thanks

Thanked: 4Yes it was all done by autosol, qtips, some electric tape and a looooot of patience for cutting and sticking.
I'm not sure what Dursol is, but it came in a tube, it wasn't liquid. It's like moisturizing cream texture. The box says Metal Polish and it's Gold and Black colored.

The Gold and Black is the paste, thanks for the heads-up. Dursol is another paste that shows up under the same producer, it might be a private label version.
And thanks again for sharing your work and process with us, it was very helpful to see how you pulled it all together.
