Default Klas Törnblom in multicoloured horn.

I bought this razor a couple weeks ago and it shaves very nicely but the scales were boring black plastic, too loong and too fat for my liking so I made a new pair of scales out of horn.

The wedge is made out of lead from an old car battery, I was a bit worried about it being too heavy but it was not a problem and the balance is just fine.

Really like what you did with those scales. Always loved the look of horn scales and those have nice colouration to them too. I sometimes think a lead wedge helps counter balance the blade better. Very good job.

Thanks, this one's my favorite soo far.

I've mostly seen lead wedges on heavier grinds before and this is a 1/2 hollow so there's a bit less weight in the blade, luckily there's enough weight in it to counter a lead wedge.

Yea, thinking about it the razors that I have with lead spacers are a heavier grind variety and English made too.

I got it from Robsbits on ebay( http://myworld.ebay.com/robsbits ), I've had nothing but good experiences buying from him.

Very nice work Baxxer! The razor has changed significantly.
I wish I could be able to do the same work to many of my boring, black and plastic scales razors.

Just be very careful with the acid in the battery if you plan on trying it out yourself.

It's not very complicated, these are just my forth pair.
Give it a try, you might find some hidden talent.
