Thread: Preserving the etching on a Krusius Brothers

Im new to restoration and i picked up a handful of blades this weekend. id like to try my hand at restoration and I'm concerned about removing the rust spots from the blade. is there a way to preserve the etching while removing the rust?

You can mask off the etch with tape or nail polish but of course the rust on the etch will not be addressed that way. Working on the etch often requires compromise.
