Yep it is the start of tendonitis in the elbow joint; as long as it hasn't gotten to pain to the point of being unable to straighten your arm without yelping, and is just burning and "achey" you can correct it yourself without the Dr.'s intervention. Start using aleve or celebrex if you have it already (not a dr., I work in physical therapy, so follow all dosage instructions, and consult your current primary care Dr. before using the celebrex). Google triceps tendon stretches, and forearm extensor stretches do these twice a day for a few weeks 2-3 x's with a 20sec. hold when it becomes uncomfortable (NOT PAINFUL!). Put a wet cloth in the microwave for 30 seconds on med. heat, put it on the elbow joint before stretching to loosen and relax the connective tissue, then ice for 15-20 minutes after to help quell inflammation. Lay off the shop work for about 3-4 days (this is an overuse injury, and pushing through inflames the tendon more, which i have seen this lead to eventual tears). When you return to the shop wear a snug wide hair band or a wrap made for tennis elbow about 1/8" below the tip of your elbow over the large muscle on top of your forearm. Remember it took time to cause the problem and will take time to correct it! If your elbow is getting sore and achey in the shop working...STOP!!! then immediately ice it for 15 minutes to help prevent inflammation from reoccurring. Sorry for the long post, but it's a lengthy explanation, and I have dealt with this from weight lifting a few times. Hope you feel better bro!

Thanked: 16Thanks to everyone for the insight. I realize that I am combining problems by continuing to play racquetball 3-4 times a week. I have a tournament this weekend, but I am going to take some time off from it next week and let my new ebay razors wait. Thanks again!
