    Default Good Find?

The past few days I've been thinking about getting a Dremel to help with light restoration work.

Having a look around the corners of the attic tonight and I found a box of attachments that fit the old drill that came with the house, a load of abrasives and lined with newspaper from 1981. I'm thinking I may have found a giant super dremel in the loft. Everything seems mechanically sound albeit in need of a little love.
I was just about to drill the pins for my first set of scales by hand but I think I'll hold off until I've got the drill press up and running.

    Opinions?

When you first start doing this stuff, use anything that helps, as long as its safe. I started buffing razors with a drill held between my legs and a buffing wheel attached. DON'T do that

Ive used a lot of tools in my life, never anything that looks like this. All I have to say is........

    PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!!

In the words of Indiana Jones, "It belongs in a museum!!"

There's a reason why nobody uses or sells tools that operate in this setup.

These attachments were common in the UK during the eighties, usually made by Wolf or Black and Decker. I had the lathe/drill press which admittedly did do the job in a very crude fashion, the saw attachment was meant to be used with the chuck removed if memory serves me right.
Personally the only configuration I would use is the drill press, the rest are accidents waiting to happen!

Give it a try on some junk razors first. Learn what speeds work best for a given task.
    It has possibilities.

    Good luck
